Senior electrical design engineer

Drafting and Design Engineer with solid experience in creating detailed electrical and civil drawings that show the layout and construction of various structure including electrical and civil works. To work closely with engineers to develop wiring details and construction plans. 

TASKS

-Design, Optimize and create Site layouts based on local governing laws and construction guidelines for various countries in the EMEA region.

-Lead development and design of electrical drawings like single line diagrams, schematics and other wiring diagrams for battery storage systems across all voltage levels, including civil foundation and cable routing plans

-Lead development of 2D and 3D CAD for new designs both independently and in conjunction with ESS Product design engineers

-Manage implementation of Product changes and impact on BOM, Engineering deliverables and templates

-Work closely and collaboratively with EMEA-regional and Corporate stakeholders Responsible for quality control of all deliverables within the scope of delivery

-Perform other electrical design duties associated with the project scope of work when needed

-Support junior engineers in their development process

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

-Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in electrical engineering

-Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in design of power systems, including system studies, protection & control and grounding  for utility installations, PV plants, Battery Storage Systems, preferably for the EMEA region or based on IEC standards  

-Expert in the use of CAD tools for electrical system design (i.e., AutoCAD Electrical), Eplan and familiarity with 3D modeling

-Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations for electrical installations design (e.g., IEC61936 / AS2067 standards)

-Experience in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for low  voltage AC and DC systems, conventional power generation for utility installations,  Battery Storage Systems 

-Solution-oriented mindset

-Excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in German or other European languages is of advantage
