Senior Backend Developer - Data

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer for Data to join our team in Copenhagen. As a Backend Developer at Monta, you will be working on getting data-centric solutions closer to the product. If this sounds like you, we’re looking forward to seeing your application!

We’ve closed a huge Series B round! 80M EUR and soaring! Our journey so far? An expansion across various markets, prestigious #ISO27001 and B-Corp certifications, and proactive tech revolutionizing the EV charging experience. Not to mention, our growth has skyrocketed 6X since the last round, nearing 1 million monthly charging sessions, and 1,000 #EV drivers joining us daily! Monta will use the EUR 80M funding to double down on its successful software-only strategy by strengthening investments in all markets and improving and expanding its product to new sectors ready to embark on an electrified future.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the data application layer and introduce software best practices to data driven applications. 
• Design and build the needed technology that bridges the gap between data and product. 
• Collaborate with our site reliability and backend teams to identify and implement solutions to issues that are blocking the data team.
• Work closely with our data engineers and data scientists to ensure the things we build in our team are tested and deployed following software development best practices.
• Own documentation, SLA requirements for uptime and everything else associated with production in the data team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience as a backend developer. Some of that with a micro service structure. 
• Experience working with data-centric projects. This could include ETL pipelines, SQL heavy data modeling including complex business logic or even machine learning in production. 
• Demonstrated experience with building APIs and backend solutions that scale.
• Fluent in Python and Kotlin. A good level of SQL is also a requirement. Experience with PHP is a big plus. 
• Good communication skills and ability to plan and execute a project that involves communication with a potentially big group of stakeholders.
