What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Segment Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the Fleet and Mobility Solutions segment in Europe. This segment focuses on fuel cards, leasing companies, and take-home fleets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and establish strong customer relationships within this specific market segment across Europe. As a key member of our leadership team, the Segment Sales Manager for Fleet and Mobility Solutions will play a critical role in shaping ChargePoint Europe's market presence and contributing to the company's overall success. 

 

Responsibilities 

Segment Sales Strategy:  

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with ChargePoint Europe's business objectives and market opportunities.  
  • Identify and prioritize target markets and geographical regions to maximize revenue growth and market penetration for the Fleet and Mobility Solutions segment. 

Sales Team Leadership:  

  • Mentor high-performing country sales teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets and KPIs in the Fleet and Mobility Solutions segment.  
  • Foster a collaborative and positive sales culture between segment sales teams and country sales teams that promotes teamwork and excellence. 

Market Analysis:  

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the Fleet and Mobility Solutions segment.  
  • Use market insights to inform sales strategies, product development, and go-to-market approaches. 

Customer Engagement:  

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders across various industry segments and local markets.  
  • Understand customer pain points, requirements, and feedback to continuously improve our product offerings and customer experience. 

Sales Performance Management:  

  • Establish clear performance metrics and sales targets for the team.  
  • Regularly monitor sales performance, track progress against targets, and implement corrective actions when necessary. 

Strategic Partnerships:  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and establish strategic partnerships that enhance ChargePoint Europe's market position and drive sales opportunities. 

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:  

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the executive team, outlining progress, challenges, and opportunities for growth. 

Sales Process Optimization:  

  • Continuously improve sales processes and methodologies, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness throughout the sales cycle. 

Budget Management:  

  • Work closely with the finance department to set and manage the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve sales objectives. 

 

Requirements 

  • Proven track record of at least 5-8 years in B2B sales, with a focus on technology, renewable energy, or related industries. 
  • Minimum of 5 years in international sales leadership or management roles, with experience leading high-performing teams. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing international segment sales strategies that have resulted in significant revenue growth. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the electric vehicle industry and charging infrastructure market trends in Europe. 
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand and analyze market dynamics and customer needs. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with fluency in French and English (additional European languages are advantageous).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Ability to travel within Europe as needed to meet with customers, partners, and country sales teams.
