envelio is a software company that provides solutions for the energy sector and is based in Cologne, Germany. As a spin-off of the RWTH Aachen University, we develop software for the digitization of electricity networks. With our products, we contribute to the success of the global "Energiewende" (change of the energy sector) by integrating renewable energies and e- mobility faster and more cost-effective into the energy system. The role
As a sales team, we have a direct influence on the sustainable growth of envelio. Our task is to create the first point of contact for potential customers, to inspire them for our software solution, the Intelligent Grid Platform, and to win them as satisfied and long-term users. Within the team, we place great value on a collaborative working relationship based on trust, as well as on initiative and a high degree of responsibility.
As a Sales Manager (f/m/d) with a focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding existing customer relationships. Your primary goal is to convert leads into customers. In addition to working with the Sales team, you will work closely with Customer Success, Marketing and the Product department to drive customer relationships and product development holistically.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- You are responsible for the entire technical and commercial customer acquisition process from project development to proposal writing and contract negotiations
- You support our existing customer base and identify the potential for upselling additional products
- You identify new customer requirements and support the strategic development of our product and solution portfolio
- You represent envelio at various events (e.g. trade fairs, congresses, trade committees) and strengthen our position in the market
What you need to succeed
- You have completed a university degree in the field of industrial engineering, business administration with a specialization in technology management or in a comparable course of study
- Ideally, you have experience in technical sales, as a management consultant or as a project developer in the energy supply sector
- You are a strong communicator, have a confident presence and bring a solution-oriented "hands-on" approach to your work
- You see yourself as a team player and support your colleagues at all times in order to achieve the common goal
- You are fluent in German and English, other languages are a plus.
- You are highly proactive and enjoy working independently
