About the company:

⚡ envelio - Supporting the smarter, faster evolution of your power grid.

We provide distribution grid operators with the Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP) – a software suite that brings all your grid data together to enable real-time decisions, long-term planning, and much, much more.

With real-time digital twins, automated grid assessments, and live monitoring, IGP empowers DSOs to manage increasing infrastructure complexity, renewable integration, and growing power demand.

Our applications cover the full spectrum of operations and planning:
🔹 Process thousands of connection requests in minutes, not days
🔹 Detect grid congestion risks before they cause trouble
🔹 Simulate and plan new grid areas with confidence
🔹 Evaluate the grid impact of EVs, PVs, and heat pumps before they’re built

IGP integrates seamlessly with existing systems like GIS, NIS, SCADA, MDM, EDM and others – enhancing visibility without overhauling existing workflows. And because it’s modular, grid operators can start where they need impact the most.

Trusted by grid operators across Europe and beyond – from Westnetz to Helen Electricity Network and Eversource – envelio's IGP is setting new standards in grid management and planning, facilitating a smoother transition to renewable energies.

💡 Not sure which part of IGP fits your needs? We’ll help you find it.

Your Role

As Team Lead Product Excellence & Delivery, you will build a new, cross-tribe team that strengthens the entire product organization rather than owning a specific product area. The team brings together three areas of impact: Project Delivery, ensuring the reliable coordination and delivery of technically complex projects; Market Intelligence, identifying emerging market, technology, and regulatory developments; and Product Excellence, establishing scalable processes, KPIs, and standards for knowledge management. You will initially lead three team members from Product Innovation (PIM) and Product Operations (POM). With a planned Technical Project Lead (TPL) role and further hires, the team will grow gradually throughout 2027. While team members take ownership of their respective projects, topics, and processes, you will establish clear frameworks, ensure appropriate staffing, set priorities, and drive quality and continuous development. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with the tribes’ Product Management teams, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and management.

How You Make an Impact

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Development: You lead and coach a team of TPLs, POMs, and PMIs, set clear goals, and create development opportunities beyond traditional product management.
  • Team Building & Role Definition: You expand the initially three-person team based on organizational needs and work with Product and Engineering to refine the TPL role, including its responsibilities and decision-making authority.
  • Capacity & Collaboration: You prioritize the team’s work across projects and tribes, manage capacity, and ensure close alignment with Product and Engineering leads.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Delivery Governance: Together with your TPLs, you establish a consistent, risk-based framework for project governance and make dependencies, risks, and bottlenecks transparent across the portfolio.
  • Revenue-Critical Projects: You enable reliable delivery through appropriate staffing, capacity allocation, and coaching, and act as an escalation point to resolve competing priorities across teams.
  • Product Excellence & Knowledge: Together with Product Leadership, you set the direction for processes, KPIs, and knowledge standards and prioritize the work of POMs and PMIs – including ensuring reliable knowledge context for AI agents.
  • Regulatory Affairs & Innovation: Together with Product Leadership, you prioritize your PMIs’ participation in industry committees and early-stage topic assessments, and ensure knowledge transfer to the Product Management teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: You are the point of contact for the team’s operating framework, capacity, and effectiveness, and consolidate the TPLs’ project reports into an overall view for management.

Your Profile

Perfection is a myth! We’re much more interested in the person behind the screen. Think of these criteria as guidelines rather than a checklist. We’re excited to see how your unique skills could complement our team.

  • Experience: Several years of experience in technical project or program management, Product Operations, and/or product management within a B2B software organization, including experience delivering complex customer projects with contractual acceptance requirements.
  • Leadership Skills: Ideally, you have already successfully led a team and have experience building a new team and defining roles that did not previously exist.
  • Organizational & Process Skills: You take a pragmatic approach to governance, processes, and structures – as much oversight as necessary, as little overhead as possible – and have experience building scalable organizations.
  • Influence Without Formal Authority: You lead through clarity, transparency, and trust, confidently resolve competing priorities between Product, Engineering, and customers, and escalate issues in a timely, solution-oriented manner.
  • Communication Skills: You communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to your team, customers, partners, and management.
  • Technical Understanding: You understand agile software development, release and acceptance processes, and the potential of AI-assisted development well enough to work with Engineering as an equal partner in steering delivery.
  • Industry Knowledge: You have a good understanding of the energy sector, distribution system operators, and their regulatory environment.
  • Analytical Thinking: You take a data-driven, hypothesis-led approach and make impact measurable.
  • Languages: You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
