What you’ll do:

Ensure corporate Safety Programs comply with evolving OSHA requirements (IIPP – Injury and Illness Prevention Program, COVID testing/vaccine requirements, recurring safety training)
Serve as Occupational Safety Liaison to Safety Council and all departments to sustain a zero-injury workplace
Consolidate behavior-based safety programs, policies, training and work practices into Accident Prevention Manual
Coordinate EHS programs within Archer and with outsourced EHS service providers, contractors and consultants as primary contact
Ensure compliant management of waste streams: storage/inventory, manifests, disposal and reporting
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for safety programs such as Lock-out / Tag-out
Monitor regulatory developments applicable to EHS programs
Serve as on-site Agency Liaison for inspections, audit and enforcement
Serve as a participant for in-house Management of change program
Coordinate Facility Permitting (offices, laboratories and manufacturing)

What you need:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Safety) or related profession with at least 6+ years’ experience in environmental engineering or health and safety

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience creating corporate safety culture programs, safety training modules
Experience with all facets of Lithium-ion battery storage, testing and use
Aviation industry and/or manufacturing experience
Working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene Principles, SARA 311/312/313 reporting, NSR Permitting

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $130,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
