About This Role:
This role is accountable for individual safety and requires conducting all work activities safely, consistent with established company safety practices and policies. This position is vital for maintaining the reliable operation of gas turbine and reciprocating engine-driven generators supporting facility power operations in Abilene. This includes performing maintenance, repairs, and testing of all equipment within the station. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong commitment to safety and quality, experience in heavy industry environments, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with frequently changing priorities.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Gas Turbine Equipment Maintenance, Repair, and Testing: Qualified to perform maintenance, repairs, and testing of all equipment within the station as required. Responsible for general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GE and Solar gas turbine-driven generator sets.
Black Start Generator Maintenance, Repair, and Testing: Responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of the facility Caterpillar generators.
Third-Party Support: Assisting 3rd party repair support services as needed.
Maintenance Planning and Logistics: Maintaining accurate maintenance logs, assisting in forecasting all maintenance planning, making regular rounds, and assisting in the receipt of any deliveries (Ammonia, Diesel, oversize parts, etc.).
Plant Support Equipment Operation: Qualified to operate all plant support equipment (Forklift, Manlift, Cart, Small Crane) at the station.
Plant Upkeep: Expected to assist in keeping the plant clean and orderly daily and alert the team of any items that need to be resolved.
Equipment Operation and Monitoring: Following a schedule provided by engineers or production supervisors to operate engines, generators, and auxiliary equipment to ensure appropriate gas flow and power generation. Adjusting controls and valves, regulating pressures, and monitoring meters.
Data Recording and Analysis: Maintaining records of meter and gauge readings to determine temperature, amounts of gas received and dispensed, pressure, and consumption rate variations.

Driving and Travel Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR). Reliable transportation to travel when necessary.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $38 - $50/hour. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
