About Helion

We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.

Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $600 million from investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV).

Now we are working toward Polaris, which will be the first machine to demonstrate electricity from fusion, making this a great time to join Helion! Bring your skills, experiences, and determination to make a difference in the world. Together, we can make a future with unlimited clean electricity from fusion a reality.

  • Fusion generators generating 2.45 MeV and 14.1 MeV neutrons and associated radiation.
  • Activated material (elements 3-83, inclusive) from the operation of fusion generators or externally irradiated and returned test samples

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Eight years handling greater-than-exempt quantities of radioactive material
  • Four years serving as a Radiation Safety Officer or eight years serving as Chair of a Radiation Safety Committee overseeing work performed under a Broad Scope license
  • Four years working with neutron sources or neutron generators
  • Four years working with (or overseeing the use of) over 100 Ci of H-3 or elements 3-83 in the form of activated byproduct material resulting in contact doses exceeding 100 mrem/hr
  • Four years working with an x-ray machine, accelerator, or similar apparatus requiring registration and shielding
  • Experience submitting radiological license applications and/or amendments
  • General awareness of radiological regulations in 10 CFR 20 and 10 CFR 30, which may be via equivalent state regulations
