To strengthen our R&D team we are looking for a R&D Prototyper.
Are you a hands-on individual who brings innovative concepts to life through creation of functional prototypes based on technical documentation?
Then you are likely the Smappee Hero we are looking for!

Responsibilities:

• You will build prototypes that accurately represent the design concepts utilizing input from consultations, technical documentation, drawings, and sketches.
• As a member of the design department, your primary responsibility is to assist design engineers in the development of new products and enhancements to our existing product line.
• Conduct hands-on tests to verify that the prototypes meet quality requirements and standards, while also identifying potential areas for optimization.
• Integrate prototypes into demonstration and testing setups, ensuring they function effectively within these environments.
• Collaborate with product developers to provide feedback on prototype performance and suggest improvements based on your expertise and experience.
• Provide support to production, after-sales, and other relevant departments during the product launch phase, facilitating a smooth transition from prototype to production.

Requirements

• You have a graduates degree in electronics or electro-mechanics or equivalent through experience
• You have understanding of electricity and wiring
• As a team player with hands-on experience, you have the ability to correctly follow up on instructions
• You easily read technical drawings, both mechanical and electrical, preferably using SolidWorks
• You have a strong attention to detail
• You have proficiency in reading and understanding documentation in English
• You have a commitment to continuous improvement
