R&D Lab Engineer

• Develop and document experimental methods as standard operating procedures to ensure quality data is generated in a safe and repeatable way.
• Plan and carryout experiments in the development of pioneering CO2 capture technologies.
• Manage the safe operation of laboratory equipment & instruments and to evaluate the outputs.
• To test and develop novel CO2 capture process technology.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a relevant subject.
• 3 to 6 years of experience of working in a laboratory environment.
• Possess a strong knowledge of mass transfer, chemical equilibria and thermodynamics.
• Experience in operating laboratory scale pilot plants and process control is desirable.
• Knowhow and experience in researching in process development. Experience in developing solvent-based CO2 capture technology is preferred.
• Display the ability to critically assess data and literature to provide insight to the Research and technical teams when required.
• Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• You should have verbal and written English language communication skills.
