What you will do:
Electra is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer Capital Projects to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes across various projects, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and project teams to support the successful execution of our decarbonization initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans and procedures for assigned projects
- Conduct inspections, audits, and tests of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, internal quality policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO9001, ISO13485)
- Review and verify engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation for quality adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to improve product and process quality
- Track and report on quality metrics, non-conformances, and inspection results to project and quality leadership
- Assist in supplier quality management, including audits and performance evaluations
- Facilitate first article inspections (FAI) and ensure proper documentation and traceability
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records in accordance with company and customer requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall project quality and efficiency
What we need you to bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in QA/QC roles within manufacturing or industrial project environments
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO9001, ISO13485, Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality documentation
- Experience with inspection tools, measurement devices, and quality testing equipment
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope that are often varied and routine
- Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Ability to apply learned techniques and contribute to analysis and investigation to solve problems
- Ability to work independently, receiving little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes is a plus
- Proficiency with quality management software and MS Office suite

Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $83,000-$91,000 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education
