QA/QC Technician

ICON is looking for a QA/QC Technician  to ensure the material throughout the production process meets the desired specifications and that material leaving the plant has been tested. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX batch plant lab and will report to the Batch Plant Manager on ICON’s Material Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sample scheduling and collection.
• Compressive testing.
• Concrete Field and lab testing:
• Flow table 
• Slump 
• Air content
• Raw materials sampling and testing.
• Data collection.
• General Lab maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in material science, chemistry, chemical engineering or 2 years related field experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• ACI: field grade 1 or higher.
• Technical degree or experience working in a concrete lab of more than 3 years.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as the Google suite.
