What You Will Be Doing

The Marketing Project Manager is the hub of enabling the Marketing team’s planning and execution activities. You will help us evolve our Marketing processes and project management discipline to ensure that as the business continues to grow, we are able to intelligently scale our processes right along with it.

Your time will be spent managing a set of high-visibility projects. There are also projects within Marketing that are managed by other Marketers. To enable efficient project management of those projects, you will ensure that our project management tools, processes, and best practices are optimized. You will also monitor the entire Marketing portfolio of high-visibility projects to make sure they are on track and ensuring visibility when they’re not.

What You Will Do

Project Management

  • Manage a set of large cross-marketing projects, as determined by Marketing leadership, from scoping through delivery & post-mortem
  • Ensure proper requirements are developed and communicated
  • Ensure that delivery commitments are defined and met
  • Facilitate collaboration between participating teams to ensure efficient throughput and delivery of agreed-upon quality
  • Regularly communicate project status
  • Escalate blockers to Marketing leadership
  • Keep project tasks on track via Asana project management system
  • Perform retrospectives, document learnings, and optimize process

Project Management Enablement

  • Drive development and adoption of key, cross-team Marketing processes and improvements
  • Build out Asana project management structure to enable process, approvals, reporting, and roles & responsibilities
  • Lead weekly prioritization meetings to optimize throughput and address obstacles

Portfolio Management

  • Monitor day-to-day activities of high visibility projects and ensure work is progressing as planned
  • Proactively identify project risks and needed mitigation
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders in order to ensure planning and collaboration across the entire project lifecycle
  • Consistently manage expectations on realistic timelines for delivery based on overall resources available
  • Report out on status of the portfolio of high visibility Marketing projects

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
  • 4-6 years of project management experience within a corporate marketing department, creative studio or agency
  • 2+ years experience managing projects using Asana or a comparable project management system
  • Experience defining processes and project management rhythms to enable scale
  • Experience overseeing a portfolio of projects being managed by others to facilitate efficient throughput
  • Knowledge of project management processes, workflow and terminology
  • Proven ability to drive projects at all levels in the company – on time, on scope, on budget
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, be resourceful in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and take collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate to find common ground and compromise solutions

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $52,500 to $108,750. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
