Who You Are

As a Project Coordinator, on the Battery Engineering team you’ll focus on ensuring that our partners have the right resources on-time for the successful qualification of Sila’s products in next-generation batteries. This work will include helping to develop new processes and shape existing processes to identify, lead, and procure critical material resources. You’ll also internally communicate historical and future needs for all programs, and work closely with both technical and business teammates to anticipate challenges and coordinate efforts to address them. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the relationships with our battery materials vendors in North America, Europe, and Asia and will influence our battery materials sourcing strategy while supporting R&D efforts across the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establish clear insight into all battery cell build material needs and develop/improve processes to ensure all logistics and purchasing needs are anticipated and met so that cell builds proceed seamlessly
  • Proactively identify and highlight critical-path dependencies, risks, and opportunities, and advance as appropriate
  • Drive progress by ensuring the appropriate organization, resourcing, and prioritization of key resources
  • Manage development programs with battery materials suppliers
  • Establish close relationships across technical and business groups, both internal and external
  • Perform cost and supply chain analysis for key battery raw materials
  • Invest in our what we value and vision and champion them as we grow
  • Ability to travel (including internationally) up to 10% of the time

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships inside the company and externally with technical and business audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working on multiple projects of varying type simultaneously
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment in which changes are frequent
  • Experience working in a supply chain or procurement role a plus
  • Foreign language ability a plus, especially Chinese, Korean, or Japanese
  • B.S. in science or engineering field preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, printer, etc in a fixed location

The starting base pay for this role is between $90,000 and $122,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
