The Role

As a Production Supervisor you’ll oversee a portion of the assembly line (module, sub-assembly or final assembly).  This includes hiring and training the team, scaling production to ensure business needs are met, ensuring delivery of high-quality products and keeping all employees safe.  Overall responsible for the production area – safety, quality and production output.

Compensation displayed is a range, maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements.  We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience.  Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area, if you live outside that region, the range is subject to change. 

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

What you’ll do:

  • Define job requirements, interview and hire for production associate roles.
  • Provide training and give clear instructions to associates regarding work specifications and equipment operation. 
  • Oversee quality and quantity of production; monitor associate’s performance by monitoring gauges, dials and other indicators.
  • Define the production requirements (safety, quality, output, scrap, etc.) and create a way to measure and analyze the results.  
  • Maintain Production Associate labor tracking (i.e., payroll, time approval, tracking).
  • Initiates and administers 1st level of associate basis disciplinary / corrective action.
  • Recommend and implement initiatives that improve safety, quality or productivity.  
  • Coordinate with management on work issues and enforce safety and housekeeping (5S) regulations.
  • Skills to be successful:

  • Minimum 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge in various manufacturing processes (mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, fabrication, welding, painting, and support functions).
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.  
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed. 
  • Shift and Compensation:

  • Shift: 2:00PM-10:30PM
  • Compensation: 80-90k
