To strengthen our operational efficiency and uphold the standards integral to our company, we are actively seeking a dynamic Operational Buyer to join our supply chain division. As an Operational Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Your responsibilities will include management of procure-to-pay process and optimizing our operational procurement strategies:
Responsibilities
- Efficiently track and manage orders to guarantee timely delivery and maintain operational flow.
- Accurately input order details, including vendor information, quantities, and prices, into our internal databases.
- Keep records of purchased products, delivery details, and invoices to facilitate seamless procurement processes.
- Generate insightful reports on purchases, incorporating thorough cost analyses for informed decision-making.
- Proactively monitor stock levels and initiate timely orders to sustain uninterrupted operations.
- Evaluate and uphold the quality of procured products.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate proper storage and distribution of acquired goods.
- Take the lead in resolving material shortage situations and critical parts supply .
- Contribute to improvements in the procure-to-pay process.
- Maintain and develop operational relationship with vendors.
- Research potential vendors to enhance our supplier network.
- Analyse and assess compelling offers from suppliers to ensure optimal value for the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Logistics, Business Administration or another relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or a similar role related to vendor or purchase order processing
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices & vendor delivery performance management
- Solid knowledge of international transport and Logistics Management for various freight modes (road, rail, sea, air)
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system
- Understanding of supply chain processes
- Negotiation & problem solving skills
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
