ROLE:

We are currently seeking an experienced head of natural sales to lead our sales efforts across the natural and specialty channels of trade.  This position reports into the VP of Sales. This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong retailer/broker relationships, professional forecasting/selling ability, interpersonal skills, and the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders. Candidate must be able to work in a team/mission driven environment and be passionate about meeting stretch objectives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure delivery of business objective through distribution, volume, share, promotion execution, new items and spending objectives for the Natural Channel
  • Align customer strategies with Good Culture’s strategic plan to build a collaborative business plan
  • Manage communications and meetings with customers and brokers to ensure high quality customer service
  • Owns the execution and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives
  • Utilize customer sales data and category management studies to provide fact-based analysis and deliver business building objectives
  • Work cross functionally with supply chain, category management, marketing and operations to ensure flawless execution of innovation launches and business objectives

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales with food and/or consumer products companies 
  • Ability to efficiently manage 10-15 direct customer relationships alongside broker management.
  • Experience working for both a large CPG company and a small entrepreneurial food company
  • 5+ years cold supply chain experience and strong retailer relationships required
  • (Dairy category experience preferred)
  • Experience leading direct and broker selling teams
  • Financial / trade management experience
  • Ability to interpret syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen)
  • Able to travel 30-50% depending on season
  • An entrepreneurial passion and grit – motivated by winning
  • Ability to understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
  • Proficient knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, computer systems (examples include Excel, Word, O365)
  • Willing to travel 20-30% to manage and execute commercial/consumer activation

COMPENSATION: $110k Base + Target Incentive Bonus + Equity
