Growth You’ll Foster

As a ML Engineer at Regrow, you will work with scientists and engineers to create the data products behind our agricultural monitoring, reporting, and verification tools. Using your data engineering, ML Ops, and machine learning expertise, you will build the tools and frameworks used by the Data Science team to identify regenerative agricultural practices globally, allowing growers and the companies that depend on them to build more sustainable supply chains.

What You'll do

Create internal tools and frameworks for common ML and data management processes, including data product generation, ETL pipelines for training/validation data, and standard model evaluation

Development of frameworks for model training, versioning, and inference, including automated model testing

Contribute to the creation and adoption of software development best practices

Collaborate with data scientists to design, implement, and deploy Machine Learning models for imagery time series analysis, classification, and segmentation. Applications are focused on agriculture, rangeland management, and land cover/land use mapping.

Contribute across the full product life-cycle: conduct R&D on potential focus areas, develop proof of concept data products for new offerings, and iterate on existing models to improve core products.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience doing any of the following: deploying machine learning models into real world applications, building and deploying production ETL pipelines, building internal tooling for a product-facing data science team, or similar

Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Earth Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Strong Python programming skills, including scientific and machine learning libraries (NumPy, SciPy, SKLearn, TensorFlow, etc).

Experience in using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, or TensorFlow.

Excellent English language presentation and communication skills

Desirable Skills: (bonus if you have them)

Experience working with statistical, machine learning, and/or simulation models using remote sensing datasets.

Familiarity with Google Earth Engine or other cloud-based satellite imagery analysis environment
