As a Mechanical Engineer for the SPARC PRTS (CASKING), you will be responsible for the design of the mechanisms handling the casks and the port plugs, for the support of the vendor selection, through sourcing, fabrication and commissioning, which includes development of procedures, supervision of assembly, calibration, and validation testing.

This team member will:
Demonstrate cases of taking a product from design to manufacturing and working with vendors to fabricate the parts to the specifications and manage deviationsDevelop technical specifications, assembly procedures and documentation necessary to fabricate and commission the componentsWork closely with design team and maintain regular contact with the selected vendors to provide them with necessary technical supportEnforce observance of the required quality standards and securing documentation and processing of the NCR’sSupport procurement in the preparation and execution of the manufacturing contractsTravel to vendors to review the progress and resolve any issuesOffer insight and creative ideas about designed features that can meet the functional requirement, with quality, cost and lead time in mindThe ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or above5+ years' of engineering design and analysis experienceExperience with design of mechanisms and roboticsExperience in structural and functional analysis of such systems Advanced CAD skills in NX, both in modeling and drawingsUnderstanding of GD&T and spatial tolerancing on digital measurement systemsCommunicate effectively in a fast-paced environment, engaging interfacing systems and understanding their requirements to be able to make well informed decisionsAdditional experience and/or qualifications:
