Job Description:
The master scheduler manages the master production schedule to ensure demand and supply are always balanced. The role leads the planning of demand, capacity, inventory, project status and other production drivers, and develops strategies for adapting variances to the plan. The master scheduling manager coordinates communication and data flow between manufacturing, supply chain management, project management and sales, including ensuring ERP systems are properly aligned with desired business processes
Responsibilities
* Master production schedule: Plan, prepare, maintain, and report on performance of the Master Schedule. Responsible for converting, importing, and maintaining the marketing and sales forecasts in the EPR/MRP system for use in the planning process
* Capacity requirements plan: Create and maintain a capacity requirement plan that supports the master schedule.
* Product Development Coordination: Coordinate engineering changes, product phase in and phase outs and availability to support the master schedule.
Inventory: Establish and adjust safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories. Prepare run out analyses for discontinued items and coordinate an exit strategy with planners and purchasing.
Scheduling processes: Establish, evaluate, and maintain production scheduling processes and a formal master schedule review and sign-off process.
* Contract Manufacturer coordination: Coordinate and integrate key subcontractor schedules with the MPS.
*Issue Resolution: Lead resolution of high-level resolution of supply, demand and capacity issues.
*Reporting: Development, maintenance, and communication of key performance indicators that are consistent with executive strategies and plant-level performance measures. Analyze data to identify causes of variances.
*Leadership: Lead and mentor planners and schedulers on forecasting, inventory planning, and scheduling.
*S&OE: Participate in regional S&OE calls to address the scheduling related challenges.
