The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer Process Planner at Lilium, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing lean process flows through our production line. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager Operations, you will play a crucial role in creating efficient and future-oriented production processes
Your Day to Day:
- Work Plan Development: Create, optimize, and update work plans, work instructions, and operations for the production line. This involves designing and documenting step-by-step procedures to ensure smooth workflow and minimize waste.
- Production Process Optimization: Analyze existing production processes and identify areas for improvement. You will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, reducing cycle times, and implementing lean methodologies to optimize the production flow.
- Time Data Analysis: Determine the necessary production capacities by analyzing time data. You will collect and evaluate time measurements to understand the efficiency of various processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Process and Design Changes: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate process and design changes. You will assess the impact of these changes on production capacities and develop strategies to implement them seamlessly into the production flow.
- Workflow Development: Work closely with highly skilled technicians in different shops to develop the best workflow practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating efficient and standardized processes that enhance productivity and ensure high-quality output.
- Feasibility Analysis: Conduct feasibility analyses to assess the viability and effectiveness of proposed process improvements. You will evaluate factors such as resource requirements, equipment capabilities, and cost implications to make data-driven recommendations.
- Process Analysis and Optimization: Utilize your comprehensive expertise to analyze, define, and optimize production processes. You will carefully balance efficiency, quality, and costs to drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operations.
- MTM and REFA: Utilize the MTM (Methods-Time Measurement) and REFA (German Association for Work Study and Business Organization) methodologies to evaluate and optimize the efficiency of work processes. You will apply these techniques to streamline operations and improve productivity
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process planning and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with time study techniques such as MTM and REFA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
