As our Manager, Technical Program Management - Manufacturing Operations, you will coordinate a team of Technical Program Managers and support our Manufacturing Operations organization to develop the internal industrial processes and Production System implementation. You will work cross-functionally with our Manufacturing Operations leaders across Logistics, Prototype, Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Organizations, and Process Quality to help us achieve our strategic and tactical milestones. You will work with the relevant leaders and teams to develop specific department roadmaps, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, and communicate ongoing progress.

Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $172,000 to $286,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and maintain a Zoox Production System that spans all teams within the manufacturing department. The main elements of the System are Safety, Process Quality, Equipment management, Training, Lean methodologies, MO IT systems, and Cost management. 
  • Work with department leaders to translate the top-down corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Work with cross-functional leaders and finance to define and then track resource requirements (headcount and budget)
  • Support the development and update of the Manufacturing Operations Industrial plan, including site strategy, Equipment Maintenance strategy, APQP process, ISO 9000 compliance roadmap, Equipment and Tooling readiness roadmap, and Strategic Plan Risk Analysis.
  • Establish standard reports and KPIs to provide concise and practical communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments
  • Manage a team of cross-functional TPMs
  • Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, program management
  • Experience with heavy industry manufacturing (i.e. automotive, aerospace, etc) and the necessary integration with related functions such as logistics and quality
  • Track record in managing complex cross-functional projects
  • Experience with Production System Logic and Operational Excellence
  • Experience setting up cross-functional training programs
