Job Brief

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work with our various workplace operations and facilities teams to provide optimal facility management in support of the technical teams’ needs. We will provide you with on-the-job training in areas specific to our equipment.

What You Will Do

General assembly, installation and mounting of furniture and equipment
Receive and open packages
Coordinate with lab users and external service providers on cleaning, preventative maintenance, and inspection of various equipment
Perform manual tasks around the lab such as organizing lab benches, stockroom, inventory and general facility maintenance
Perform hands-on facilities maintenance tasks as directed such as installing wall-mounts and moving gas cylinders
Safely move equipment and packages between our various locations
Occasionally operate a forklift or a truck
Manage a daily task list and provide written updates on completion of tasks
Troubleshoot simple maintenance tasks and issues
Approach each task with a safety first mindset

Who You Are

Even more important than your resume is a clear demonstration of skill, dedication and ability to learn. A stand-out candidate would show broad technical abilities, including but not limited to the following areas:

Familiarity with hardware and power tools
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize a long list of tasks
Strong desire and curiosity to learn new things
You are able to lift up to 50 pounds
This role will be based out of our Berkeley location but will require some travel to and from our other facilities including Alameda

At Twelve, it's important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements, Twelve conducts exhaustive research to understand compensation markets. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $30 - $39/hr

Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidate's diverse sets of skill levels.
