Role Summary

This position will develop, organize, implement, and manage the equipment rebuild and validation process in any area of the plant where so needed.  This position will document the processes and procedure necessary to satisfy the needs of the area or department to ensure equipment repair reliability.  This position will migrate any legacy rebuild process documentation into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as import newly developed processes and procedures into the CMMS.  Develop rebuild frequencies to develop preventative maintenance plans in the CMMS.  Lead training activities for the rebuild team members to ensure success.  The opening is located in the Normal, IL facility and reports directly to the Maintenance Area Manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong communication and people management skills.
  • Provide hands-on assistance and expertise knowledge to team members to complete maintenance related functions.
  • Support new equipment introduction.
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Create a preventative maintenance system that will ensure minimal production line disturbances.
  • Establish strong team member relations and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a laser focus on teamwork.
  • Able to travel off-site for training and equipment buy-offs when needed.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PP).
  • Ability to work weekends and extended days on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks.

  • Administrative duties of the rebuild program
  • Procedural (work Instructions) development for the rebuild process of all equipment.
  • Migration of work instructions into the CMMS system.
  • Development of competency and workmanship standards for the rebuild program.
    • Scheduling of training for the rebuild team
    • Validation plans and processes for rebuilt equipment
  • Line side spare equipment storage setup and collaboration with MRO to stock the cabinets
  • Develop, procure set up the rebuild area.
  • Develop PM plans and frequencies for the rebuild program
    • Migrate the plans into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 1-3 years of equivalent professional experience in a plant maintenance reliability position
  • Language, Mathematical, And/OR Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
