About This Role:
Crusoe is seeking a motivated, practical and solution-oriented attorney to review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements. This position is part of the Legal team. The successful candidate will be a law graduate with 5+ years of experience in corporate law or contracts, particularly including working across business, procurement and legal teams on vendor services and supply agreements, purchase orders, and confidentiality agreements. While not required, experience with real estate development and infrastructure projects, renewable development and construction agreements is extremely helpful as well.
A Day In The Life:
5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating enterprise general contracts, such as equipment purchase agreements, consulting agreements, master services agreements, SaaS agreements, networking services agreements, hardware and software licenses with technology vendors and equipment providers and non-disclosure agreements
Work with cross-functional groups to understand and interpret risk tolerance and business requirements into legal terms and conditions
Ability to evaluate business risks, identify legal solutions and effectively communicate the same to stakeholders
Ensure consistency of transaction documents to ensure compliance with company goals
Ability and willingness to present issues to senior management and work closely on resolutions
Work independently and identify areas to continually improve and drive efficiency into the contracting process with internal and external stakeholders, including owning, developing, and managing contract templates, contract playbooks, and the contract management software and conducting business team trainings
Work with legal team and company business units to develop contract strategies
Ability to clearly communicate critical issues, present analysis and drive toward solutions on an ongoing basis as well as an interest in connecting current events with contract specific concerns or initiatives
Manage contractual timelines and discussions regarding renewals, amendments, change orders
You Will Thrive In This Role If:
5+ years law firm and/or in-house experience in contracting for general contracts, energy, infrastructure, and/or technology
Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and/or with such clients
Licensed attorney
No misconduct and in good standing with the State Bar
Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning
Must be able to work in a complex and fast paced environment
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Legal research
Motivated self-starter and team player; ability to work collaboratively
Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $230k - $260k. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
