The Role

As the Maintenance Technician Lead, you will provide technical & leadership support to Moxion’s maintenance Technicians.  You will support the Maintenance Supervisor with ensuring sustainment of production automation as well as successfully support the launch of new production systems and equipment.

The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change. 

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the Maintenance technicians by effectively training/coaching/mentoring them to achieve the required equipment uptime, repairs and production objectives.
  • Capture all preventative maintenance activities required to ensure world class product quality.
  • Screening of the Work Orders to add the priorities based on the feedback from the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Technician Lead
  • .Prioritize safety for the team and ensure all employees comply with safety rules and regulations as part of Moxion’s safety program.
  • Be the first line of defense for all equipment issues and support the Maintenance Technical crew to keep up the performance of the machinery.
  • Maintain the ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure optimum equipment performance.
  • Support the Maintenance Planner to ensure accurate spare parts inventory and on-site availability to support equipment repairs and upgrades.
  • Creation of RCCA forms and follow up of the action items.
  • Perform corrective maintenance and /or repairs on the following systems:
  • Electrical installs from 24 VDC to 480VAC Single phase & 3 Phase;
  • Mechanical systems
  • Hydraulics systems
  • Pneumatics systems
  • PLC and Networks (Allen Bradly)
  • Vision inspection equipment (Cognex & Keyence)
  • Adhesive dispenser equipment (Dymax)
  • UV Cure Systems (Dymax)
  • Fanuc robots (Six axis & Scara)
  •  Lockout and Tagout the equipment when a PM or repair is going on.
  • Support the team in case we have any absence on the day due to PTO and / or lunch.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Skills to be successful:

  • Associates or B.S. degree in Management, Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent preferred
  • Four years or more of industrial maintenance supervisory or similar leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong preventive maintenance development experience, familiarity with reliability centered maintenance principles preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality / quantity
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work a night schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime.
  • Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Hydraulics/Pneumatics troubleshooting using prints.
  • PLC: troubleshooting with, or programming. Allen Bradley or Siemens
  • You might also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • 3+ years of project management or team leadership.
  • Shift:

  • 1:30-10pm M-F
