YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to help ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of Proxima Fusion’s IT systems. You will play a key role in supporting users, maintaining our IT infrastructure, and automating operational processes to support a growing, distributed organization. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple platforms and technologies, bridging day-to-day IT operations with strategic improvements to scalability and security.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• User and System Support: Provide hands-on technical support for internal users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

• Access and Identity Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and application access across multiple platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta, or Active Directory).

• Device and Software Provisioning: Configure and deploy laptops, applications, and access controls according to company policies and security standards.

• Automation and Process Improvement: Use scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate routine IT tasks and streamline onboarding, monitoring, and maintenance workflows.

• Cloud and Infrastructure Management: Support the maintenance and optimization of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and assist in monitoring system performance and reliability.

• Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for endpoint and data security, participate in ISO 27001 and data protection initiatives, and ensure compliance with company standards.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and processes to promote consistency and transparency.
  

WHO YOU ARE

• 2–5 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or technical support.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).

• Experience managing cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Familiar with Active Directory, Google Workspace, and endpoint or identity management tools.

• Understanding of ITIL best practices and service management frameworks.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly in remote environments.

• Experience with automation tools (e.g. Terraform, or similar).

• Exposure to MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Jamf, JumpCloud ).

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth or technical R&D environment.
