As part of the wider Octopus Energy group, Octopus Generation sources, invests in and actively manages a range of renewable energy assets. We are looking to expand our team as we continue to scale our investments base of c$5bn.

Since entering the renewables market in 2010, Octopus Energy Generation has grown to become the largest investor of solar power in Europe and a leading investor in onshore wind. We currently manage an increasingly global portfolio of renewable energy assets. The operational portfolio includes over 250 energy generating companies in the UK and Europe.

Having originated, invested and managed assets in the renewable energy sector for over a decade, our energy investment and asset management team of c.90 professionals is one of the largest and most experienced in Europe. The team is structured for scale and long-term ownership of energy assets.

You'll be part of our founding team in Singapore to focus exclusively on investments and fundraising in APAC.

This is a great opportunity for an Investment Manager with experience of working on deals in solar, wind (onshore & offshore), biomass / waste to energy or waste / energy storage and other energy transition assets management to join a fast growing team in Singapore.

What you'll do

Execute the investment strategy of OR managed funds in Asia

Help the Head of Investments (Asia) to generate new & existing investment & partnership opportunities and manage ongoing relationships with renewable energy developers & advisers

Provide assistance in the due diligence of transactions, portfolio impact valuation, asset management and reporting process to the investors

Assist the leadership team in marketing Octopus Renewables / Octopus Energy in Asia to investors and strategic partners

What you'll need

PE / M&A / project finance / advisory experience in APAC with reputed institutions

Experience in closing Renewable Energy/Energy Transition deals

Entrepreneurial spirit, financial acumen and investment paper writing skills

Ability to speak Japanese, Korean or deal experience & familiarity with the deal ecosystem in North Asia (Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan) is an advantage

Knowledge of development risk underwriting & ability to contribute technical & operational knowledge would also be a plus
