As part of the Engineering Support team, you will be a key player in the success and on time delivery of Icon homes. How well you develop and implement processes will ensure an efficient and safe workplace. A skill for deciphering the root cause with Engineering teams and Operations is crucial. This role reports to the Engineering Support Manager and is based at our Austin, TX campus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and modify troubleshooting procedures and Preventative Maintenance documents regarding Engineering Change Orders.
  • Develop and maintain team document control changes as needed.
  • Ensure quality control requirements adhere to AC509 standards. 
  • Provide accurate and detailed support metric reports regarding problematic trends.
  • Design tooling and fixturing for repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Actively engage with internal engineering technical teams, operations, product management, and business development to solve problems. 
  • Lead failure analysis initiatives with internal departments to reduce equipment failures and down time. 
  • Analyze graphical data to determine root cause analysis. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field with 6 years in a similar technical environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Technical hands-on skill sets are highly desired.  
  • Strong desire to be “in the know” regarding new hardware and software changes.
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • A knack for identifying process deficiencies and seeing through resolution.
  • Strong desire to become the subject matter expert of the equipment.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid time-management skills. 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
