Position:  Impact & ESG Analyst

Location:  Remote or Berkeley office based

The Environmental Social Governance group is looking for an analyst to take our initiative to the next level. We are seeking an individual that will assist with building and managing workflow across functional units within the business.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage workflow with cross functional data owners to meet ongoing ESG data needs
  • Maintaining accurate, auditable, and up to date ESG data and provide analysis to support decision making
  • Lead implementation of carbon accounting platform and evergreen data collection
  • Lead data collection for product LCAs
  • Quality control ESG data
  • Support ESG program development by drafting policies & procedures and being the internal point of contact for cross-functional data owners
  • Supporting annual ESG reporting and disclosure
  • Providing occasional memos or briefs on relevant ESG topics and trends for company leaders
  • Building & Maintaining database for all impact metrics and relevant reference data to support publicly stated impact claims
  • Staying up to date on relevant voluntary and regulatory disclosure frameworks and reporting requirements and industry best practices

  Physical Demands: 

  • Most of this role will involve office and computer-based work
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Communicating with others to exchange information

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in corporate sustainability, preferably within the food & ag sector
  • Project management
  • Excel data analysis
  • Carbon accounting, LCAs
  • Sustainability reporting

Hiring Compensation Range: $72,000- $90,000

All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley, Hayward or Boston locations are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
