Position: IAM Identity Administrator  
Preferred location: Remote but preferred in a city with a Pivot Bio office. 
The IT department supports Pivot Bio and its employees by addressing day to day technical needs, spearheading company initiatives and formulating sophisticated solutions to complex business problems. As internal teams within Pivot continue to grow and expand, we expect that it will become increasingly important for us to expand the capabilities that we offer in regard to technical services and support.  
We are looking for an IAM Identity Administrator to join the IT team and work in our IT Engineering team... 
Responsibilities: 
  • Function as IAM Architect, Engineer, and Administrator 
  • Design and maintain IAM solution with Role based security that keeps Pivot Bio secure, while simplifying user experience 
  • Acting as Identity & Access subject matter expert, working with Compliance and Audit teams 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the IAM system 
  • Design and maintain API integrations between HR and IAM systems 
  • Work closely with the IT and HR team to ensure that the right people have access to the right resources (RBAC) 
  • Involved in troubleshooting and resolving IAM issues 
  • Work with internal customers, business analysts, and application teams to understand access requirements 
  • Participate in IAM audits and review access control reports to identify potential risks 
  • Provide training to new and current staff on the IAM system 
  • Update and maintain the IAM system according to changes in the organization’s business needs 
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve technical identity and access management related issues 
  • Improve identity and access management solutions and systems for protection against evolving threats and efficiency 
  • Stay up to date on current IAM threats and industry solutions 
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues 
  • Travel no more than 20%, normally much less 
  • Additional duties as needed 
Physical Demands:  
  • Job will involve mostly office and computer-based work  
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers 
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing 
  • Communicating with others to exchange information 
Qualifications and Experience: 
  • 4+ years of experience with enterprise grade Identity tools  
  • 6+ years of experience in technical administration of windows, MAC and IOS systems 
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge of identity and access management best practices, procedures, and software solutions such as OneLogin, Azure AD, etc. 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with identity and access management technology, such as single sign-on (SSO), two-factor authentication, federation, privileged access management, etc. 
  • Deep understanding of Azure AD, Conditional Access, Role Based Access Control  
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, etc.  
  • Knowledge of current compliance regulations (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.) and the IAM solutions necessary to meet them 
  • High standards for customer-facing work 
  • Active participant in highly function teams and departments 
  • Experience as a technical leader on technical projects which span several months & cross-functional teams 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Experience working in a growing startup environment, preferred 
  • Background or interest in agriculture and/or plant-microbe interactions, preferably in an industry setting, preferred 
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Hiring Compensation Range: $112,000 - $140,000
All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley, Hayward or Boston locations are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
