What You Will Be Doing:

As a Fuel Cycle Engineer you will play a crucial role in the development of the fuel cycle for commercial fusion energy. You will lead the technical design of fuel storage and transport systems and oversee maintenance and testing of new and existing technologies, including high vacuum and cryogenics. You will innovate, design, and enhance systems essential for scaling and integrating into our fusion machines. 

You Will:

•    Lead the technical design of fuel storage and transport systems.  

•    Develop and manage high vacuum systems essential for gas separation processes.

•    Collaborate with teams to integrate vacuum and cryogenic systems with exhaust components.

•    Utilize your expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex challenges related to vacuum and cryogenic technologies.

•    Maintain adherence to safety standards, especially for systems operating under extreme conditions.

Required Skills:

•    Demonstrated high vacuum system design experience

•    Practical experience in cryogenic technology

•    Demonstrated experience optimizing complex systems for efficiency and reliability.

•    Demonstrated experience in leading and collaborating on technical projects within multidisciplinary teams.

•    Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools used for designing and managing vacuum and cryogenic systems.

The pay range for this position is $125-185k. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
