The Role:  

 As a Regional Sales Manager for Meati, you are accountable for food service account development and responsible for distributor growth, broker management, weekly calls, trade shows, trade spend, sales training, customer presentations and sampling of our products.  You will be guiding our Food Service strategy to achieve maximum sales, profitability, and market share in accordance with projected sales goals and financial guidelines.

Responsibilities: 

·       Support the sales director of food service by implementing and executing sales strategies that identify key partners and operators within the designated assigned territory.

·       Build strong and credible relationships with your key accounts, operators, brokers, and distributors.

Responsible for end-to-end execution of plans with key operators.

·       Evaluate trade marketing spending in assigned geographies and develop effective and efficient trade marketing plans.

·       Deliver the strategy and participate in the creation of the annual plan to deliver volume and revenue targets.

·       Participate in distributor events, kick-off meetings, & trade shows to build excitement and demand.

Promotes cross functional partnerships through collaboration and cooperation to achieve shared goals. 

Qualifications:  

·       Passion for CPG and changing the food system.

·       Minimum of 5+ years in foodservice sales or sales management 

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in practical experience

·       Clear understanding of go to market strategies within the greater foodservice channel.

·       Prior experience calling on multi-unit chain restaurants, C&U, Corporate Campuses or operators.

·       Comfortability with prospecting, cold calling, and managing sales pipelines

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Office & Microsoft Teams

·       Have an open mind and be excited to do things differently when the opportunity presents itself 

·       Problem solving skills and desire to bring creative solutions to business opportunities 

·       Passion for relationship building across team as well as cross functionally

·       Organizational skills and attention to detail 

·       Motivated, enthusiastic, and positive even during stressful times (we love what we do, but not every day is a walk in the park) 

·       Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, while thriving in a remote environment

·       Willing to travel about 50% of the time.

Compensation:  
The base salary range for this role is $90,750 - $119,625 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
