Financial Reporting Manager

About this role:

Operating as a key member of the financial reporting function, working to streamline and shorten the reporting cycle, overseeing the preparation of disclosures and supporting schedules, supporting research on SEC requirements, responsible for coordinating and tracking support used in the preparation and filing of 10-Q, 10-K, and earnings release, assisting with the creation of a robust internal reporting package for management and other special projects deployed by Financial Reporting. 

In this role, you will:

• Oversight of preparation and review of the quarterly and annual financial statements and other SEC filings (Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.)
• Oversight of the preparation and review of disclosure supporting schedules, including cash flows, earnings per share, and other footnotes
• Manage the financial reporting calendar and coordinate with Disclosure Committee
• Assistance with external quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Review of internal control compliance as it relates to required financial controls and disclosures
• Assist in the creation of a meaningful monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting packages

• Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or building monthly forecasts

• Participate in strategic financial projects including preparations for and implementation of new reporting software
• Participate in and review monthly financial close and ensure all required tasks are completed on time and accurately

• Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures
• Prepare accounting memos covering certain US GAAP and SEC reporting topics
• Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB, or other regulations.
• Other ad-hoc reports & analytics as requested by management

What's essential:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• 6+ years of related work experience
• Active CPA license
• Experience and knowledge in SEC reporting and SOX requirements required
• Strong understanding and knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint
