We are looking for a Finance Manager to provide maternity cover who can deliver a first class finance support service. You will support the UK retail finance team to develop and analyse financial information. Your role will include the coordination and preparation of the monthly management accounts, reporting on variances and providing commercial insight, as well as taking the lead on preparation of year end financial statements and audit. You will be working closely with the business to assist with day-to-day finance management and identifying any commercial risks or opportunities to improve the business’ position.
We initially need someone for 12 months, joining no later than the start of April 2025.

What you'll do
You will work within the Operational Finance team for our UK retail business. This will include providing a full range of financial support, reporting and services to support the efficient and effective running of the organisation and the delivery of its work. This will include working closely with our Strategic Finance team, Group Finance and other teams in the business with ad hoc requests
Reporting, Compliance, and Stakeholder Engagement:
Support with all aspects of month end reporting, including assisting with and reviewing journals, workbooks, reconciliations, accruals etc. prepared by the Junior Management AccountantAnalysing monthly results, preparing month end management accounts and reports for Group and external parties, meeting deadlinesEnsuring compliance with statutory requirements and financial & accounting standardsCollaborate with department heads for day-to-day finance management
Statutory Accounts, Audit Management, and External Relations:
Prepare draft statutory accounts, work and liaise with auditors, providing deliverables and walkthroughsPreparation of various regulatory compliance RFI submissions
Process Improvement and System Management:
Continuously review finance processes for improvementAssist in system implementation projectsWhat you'll need
A qualified Chartered Accountant with solid, hands-on experienceAdvanced Excel skills to support reporting and analysisFamiliarity with international accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRSStrong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with senior management and stakeholdersAn ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and external partnersExceptional attention to detail, paired with excellent organisational skillsA knack for managing time effectively, especially when handling competing priorities and deadlinesLeadership skills and a natural ability to collaborate within a teamExperience in reporting, compliance, and stakeholder managementA passion for continuous improvement in finance processesFamiliarity with system implementation—experience with Netsuite would be a bonusConfidence in leading and coordinating statutory accounts and audit processes💚 Why else you'll love it here
