Zoox is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to help build our platform for Rider Support Tooling. With riders being at the heart of everything that we do at Zoox, these tools are critically important to Zoox’s ability to deliver on our mission of safe, enjoyable transportation for all.

This is a highly technical and cross-functional role, requiring collaboration with both our AI teams as well as our Rider Support specialists, and integrations spanning everything from React frontends, 3rd party systems such as Twilio, all the way to streaming video and 3D graphics with WebGL.

Compensation:

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $203,000 to $293,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

Requirements

We are looking for a hands-on frontline manager passionate about doing the right things, growing engineers and improving the product!

Grow the team to support an ever expanding scope – Rider support will scale as the service grows, and we need you to build the team to support that growth.

The 1st line of support for engineers, TPMs, PMs, Experience, QAs → “connect the dots”

Be the primary advocate for the team, grow its engineers, help resolve conflicts, recognize people, give/seek timely feedback, proactively address performance issues, provide technical support on important architectural decisions

Work with engineers to achieve balanced resource allocation. Deliver the context from the company and organization to the team, and help deliver the team’s accomplishments to executives.

Collaborate with engineers, product and cross-functional partners to make sure we have a relentless focus on delivering the best ROI for the company and our end users.
