About the company:

At Dioxycle we develop electrolyser solutions for carbon dioxide emissions. Using state-of-the-art technology, we research and provide technology that captures and converts carbon dioxide and ultimately generates valuable chemical products.

Are you a fast mover looking to join a team of supportive teammates who are genuinely passionate about helping to solve climate change? Join our team as our Electrolysis System Architect!

About Dioxycle
Dioxycle is transforming carbon dioxide from a waste into a valuable resource. Established in 2021, Dioxycle builds high-performance carbon capture and electrolysis technologies that convert carbon dioxide (CO2) into the world’s most widely used renewable feedstocks, fuels, and commodity chemicals.

These outputs not only aim to provide cost effective and scalable alternatives to fossil fuel derived chemicals,  while also abating emissions from the hardest-to-decarbonize sectors like shipping, aviation, and chemical manufacturing. Dioxycle’s technology has the potential to eliminate gigatons of CO2 emissions, and be a critical component of humanity’s climate solution.

Dioxycle was awarded the i-Lab program award in 2020, and in 2021 was the only European company to receive the Breakthrough Energy Fellows program award, a program launched by Bill Gates.

Your Mission
Dioxycle is hiring an Electrolysis System Architect who will lead efforts to develop our CO2 electrolysis systems both at the lab and industrial scales, while addressing one of the most important challenges of our lifetime.

As an Electrolysis System Architect at Dioxycle, you will have a key role in the design of the fluid management system of our electrolyzers, the electromechanical system design and in the definition of the automation strategy. In addition to this, you will actively contribute to the installation of our systems in our facilities and for our clients.

This role requires an expertise in applied fluid dynamics and mechanics, including the management of pressurized gas and liquid lines, great understanding of thermal management as well as an expertise in industrial automation, electronics and electrical power management. A fast understanding of complex systems is a pre-requisite for this job.

Your Responsibilities
- Design our electrolysis systems based on thermodynamics calculation / fluid dynamics simulations
- Provide the specifications of the different system components (pumps, compressors, valves...) to comply with the norms
- Perform the product trade-off and initial contact with suppliers
- Developing end-to-end test benches
- Define the automation strategy of our electrolyzers and actively contribute in its realization, including the coding of the control algorithms
- Build / commission the systems including the fluid lines and the automation system
- Testing and improving the design by incorporating operators feedback

We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on, and experienced Electrolysis System Architect willing to save the planet with us. Below are some skills we believe will enable you to be successful in this role.

If you do not meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above, tell us why you would still be a great fit for this role in your application!
