Your role and your team:
We are looking for an outstanding Electrical Power System Verification Engineer to join our innovative team that will shape the future of urban e-mobility.
This position will contribute, as part of an integrated product team, to the electrical power system development on the Lilium Jet – with a specific focus on system validation and verification.
Your Day to Day:
- Participate in functional development, validation, and verification of the system requirements for our eVTOL aircraft.
- Work closely with the development engineers, Office of Airworthiness, and systems testing teams. Be the expert for coordination of activities with various departments and the certification authorities.
- Generate and manage the Electrical Power System integration, validation and verification plan and test plans. Generate and maintain V&V processes and procedures. Write and review certification documents, and work directly with compliance demonstration for the regulatory requirements.
- Perform system planning activities, validate requirements for systems and components with special focus on reusing the V&V strategy for similar components.
- Negotiate with certification authorities for the definition of Means of Compliance, qualification and certification activities.
- Specification and support of system validation and verification according to acceptable means of compliance using ARP4754A, DO-160, etc.
Your Profile:
- MSc./Eng. or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
- Min. 5 years of professional experience in developing and qualifying Electrical Power Systems, preferably CS/FAR-25 or CS/FAR-23, is required. Involvement in EASA/FAA (or other similar national agency) audits.
- Experience in planning, developing and managing V&V activities in accordance with ARP4754A is required.
- Experience in working with external suppliers and managing the interaction for the activities needed for validation and verification is beneficial. Experience in supplier management regulatory material and certification requirements.
- Strong motivation to help build structures and processes.
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously.
- Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills are required.
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
