What You Will Be Doing 

As an EHS Specialist at Helion, you will be part of a growing team dedicated to ensuring safety excellence across production, commissioning, and 24/7 operational activities. You’ll provide daily on-site safety support, coach teams in the field, and drive continuous improvement in Helion’s safety culture. This is an onsite role reporting directly to the EHS Manager at our Everett, WA office. 

You Will: 

  • Provide boots-on-the-ground safety oversight during manufacturing, commissioning, and production operations
  • Conduct daily field inspections, hazard identification, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to proactively prevent incidents 
  • Coach and engage employees and contractors on safe work practices, PPE use, and procedure compliance
  • Support incident response and investigations, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions 
  • Deliver safety orientations and training for new employees and contractors
  • Reinforce a strong safety culture through visibility, accountability, and consistent field presence

Required Skills 

  • 3+ years of experience in EHS roles within construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments 
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety standards
  • Demonstrated experience conducting field inspections, JHAs, and incident investigations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to coach and influence across diverse teams
  • Physically able to conduct field inspections, climb stairs/ladders, and wear required PPE
  • Ability to work in dynamic, high-energy environments with 24/7 operations
  • Certifications: CHST, CSP, OSHA 30-Hour, or First Aid/CPR

Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. We are committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment in every aspect of our operations, including compensation.

This is an exempt salaried role.

Annual Base Pay
$100,000$130,000 USD
