What You Will Be Doing

The Director of Technical Training and Certification will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and manage an efficient and effective technical training and certification program for our partners.  The Director of Technical Training and Certification will have the overall responsibility of designing and delivering innovative training and certification programs that enable partners to perform quality field services for EV Solution Customers on behalf of ChargePoint. The successful candidate will have a proven record of technical training and certifications in the technology, solar or related industry, and have excellent communication, leadership and project management skills.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technical training and certification program for our partners and customers.
• Define learning paths and certification tracks for various products and services by partner segment.
• Create and manage training materials and curriculum content for classroom, hands-on labs and eLearning platforms.
• Partner with instructors and cross-functional subject matter experts to ensure high quality delivery of training and train the trainer courses.
• Work with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure that training and certification programs are aligned with product roadmaps, and messaging.
• Continuously evaluate and improve program effectiveness, soliciting feedback from partners, instructors, customers and cross-functional constituents.
• Implement an efficient and effective measurement system to document and report program success rates and completions
• Develop policies and procedures for governance of the certification and training programs. 

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of technical training and certification experience in the technology industry. 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of various training methodologies and learning techniques for technical subjects.
• Experience developing, managing and delivering technical training programs across multiple communication and delivery platforms such as eLearning, in-person, and virtual.
• Strong leadership, project management and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, engineering, and marketing.
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, negotiation, problem solving, conflict management, planning, and delegating.
• Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

Remote, Candidates must reside in the US

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $132,500 to $186,750. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
