Position: Director, Talent Acquisition

Location: Remote, United States  

We are looking for a strategic thinker and doer to lead our Talent Acquisition team in reimagining our end-to-end recruiting and brand management strategy.  In this role, you will design and implement an  integrated TA framework that is customized to meet the needs of our mission-driven business, attract the highest quality of talent, and enable a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience.  

In this role, you will:  

  • Implement scalable recruitment and headcount management practices to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time as you collaborate with the People Leadership team and a broad range of senior stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Create a winning talent brand by defining and cultivating the employee value proposition that aligns with our company values and mission, in addition to identifying diversity and inclusion programs that connect communities and talent across all Pivot Bio locations. 
  • Develop, lead, and execute a scalable talent acquisition function and work across the People team to establish success criteria and KPIs that demonstrate ROI, including quality and effectiveness of recruiting efforts. 
  • Lead org-wide communication efforts around performance metrics related to talent acquisition and ensure reporting is tailored to the needs of our internal stakeholders.   
  • Model operational rigor and detail orientation and mentor a team of Talent Acquisition Recruiters, Specialists, and Coordinators. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • 12-15 years of experience leading HR or Talent Acquisition teams in a high growth environment to include direct recruitment experience. Experience in biotech or agriculture is a plus!   
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business or equivalent experience, master's degree is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated success in supporting and partnering with all levels of staff and building third-party college and university partnerships that connect with talent pipeline building and employer branding initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and leveraging Talent Acquisition metrics, including funnel health and capacity modeling for short and long-range strategic planning.  
  • Resourceful, self-driven, excellent project management with a sense of urgency. 
  • Proficient with all manner of TA related software systems, including but not limited to ATS(Greenhouse preferred), CRMS, etc.

All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley, Hayward or Boston locations are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
