Senior Director, Worldwide Corporate Accounting
We are seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting to manage our global revenue recognition function and help scale our revenue accounting operations to support growth across new product lines, regions, and go-to-market channels. This role will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with ASC 606 and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, IT, General Accounting and FP&A to support deal structuring, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a technical expert in revenue accounting with SaaS/tech industry experience, a collaborative business partner, and a builder of scalable systems and processes. This person will play a critical role in transforming our revenue infrastructure, enabling automation, and mentoring a high-performing team.
• Own and lead global revenue recognition operations, including month-end close, quarterly and annual audit, on demand contract review, and compliance with ASC 606
• Provide technical guidance on complex revenue arrangements and partner with Legal, Sales Ops, and FP&A on deal structuring
• Develop, maintain, and implement global revenue accounting policies across the organization
• Oversee the preparation of revenue-related disclosures, including 10-Q/K footnotes and MD&A
• Partner with IT to lead the automation of revenue processes using systems like NetSuite ARM and other financial tools
• Drive continuous process improvement across all aspects of revenue operations, scaling workflows for growth and efficiency
• Lead and develop a team of revenue accountants; build scalable team structure and career development plans
• Support deal due diligence, integrations, and new product launches with revenue impact
• Monitor and analyze the impact of evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
• 8+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and in-house leadership roles
• Subject matter expertise in ASC 606 and US GAAP; experience with SaaS and technology business models
• Ability to develop and defend accounting positions on complex technical topics
• Proven experience leading revenue close, automation initiatives, and external reporting cycles in a public company environment
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience writing accounting memos and interpreting guidance
• Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with NetSuite (especially ARM), or other revenue automation tools strongly preferred

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $145,000 to $260,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
