About This Role:
Join Crusoe Energy Systems as our Director of Manufacturing Engineering and lead a dynamic team driving the development and production of cutting-edge electrical equipment for our Digital Infrastructure business. This pivotal role allows you to shape our technical strategy, establish standardized processes, and support our rapid operational growth. You will directly impact Crusoe's mission by ensuring the efficient and scalable manufacturing of critical electrical systems. We're looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in low/medium voltage electrical equipment, multi-branch manufacturing, and switchgear/switchboard industries. What You’ll Be Working On:
Strategic Leadership: Drive engineering projects to completion within budget and timelines, develop technical strategies, and collaborate with executive leadership to standardize equipment designs.
Operational Excellence: Identify automation and optimization opportunities, drive innovation in energy management and cooling technologies, and establish engineering best practices.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a growing engineering team, setting performance goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Supplier and Process Management: Develop strategic supplier relationships, standardize designs, reduce lead times, and ensure accurate BOMs and assembly documents.
Design and Compliance: Perform engineering analysis, oversee shop drawings and product submittals, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Automation and Controls: Lead the design and implementation of automation and control systems, integrating equipment into project designs.
Core Responsibilities: Plan, problem-solve, design, and execute projects in a fast-paced environment.
Communication & Collaboration: Partner with Project Management, Quality, and Production teams to ensure project completion.
Key Contributions: Drive continuous process improvements, implement standard work, and support operational expansion initiatives.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Engineering Leadership: Possess 10+ years of Engineering Leadership experience, with at least 6 years in data center operations, engineering, design, or construction.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of low/medium voltage electrical equipment, including switchgear and switchboard manufacturing.
Manufacturing Experience: Bring proven experience working in multi-branch manufacturing environments.
Educational Foundation: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Leadership Acumen: Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams.
Communication Proficiency: Display excellent oral and written communication skills.
Systems Knowledge: Possess familiarity with complex power distribution and control systems.
Bonus Points:
P.E. and P.M.P. certifications or equivalent experience.
Experience in a startup or high-growth company environment.
Knowledge of commercial electrical product development.
Knowledge of contracts and specifications.
Experience advising or implementing ERP and CAD systems.
Experience with energy management systems.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $200,000 - $230,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
