About the company:
Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.
Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
About This Role:
Crusoe is scaling rapidly, and the services that power our corporate functions—from financial and legal services to human resources and travel—are more critical than ever. We are looking for a strategic and analytical Director of Procurement to build, own, and execute the sourcing strategy for these essential categories.
In this role, you will be a key business partner to our corporate leaders, responsible for delivering value, mitigating risk, and ensuring we have the right supplier relationships to support our ambitious growth. You will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from initial strategy and market analysis to contract negotiation and ongoing supplier performance management. This is a high-impact position that requires a deep understanding of corporate services, a passion for building strong stakeholder relationships, and a drive for continuous improvement.
What you’ll be working on:

Financial Control Framework: Partner closely with the Procurement Shared Services team to enforce and drive adoption of the organization's procurement policy and financial control framework.
Auditable Sourcing Practices: Enforce strict financial controls and documented sourcing practices for high-value expenditures, ensuring transparency and auditability throughout the commercial decision-making process.
Team Leadership: Lead, hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Category Managers and Specialists focused on supporting all Corporate categories (Marketing, Software etc.) Power Infrastructure Group (PIG) and Energy
Strategic Business Partnering: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal business leaders, ensuring procurement is involved early to frame and solve commercial problems, moving the function from transactional support to a strategic enabler.
Resolving Roadblocks: Use influence and internal partnership to drive solutions for systemic issues that extend beyond Procurement (e.g., ensuring timely supplier payments and aligning payment terms with financial planning and liquidity goals).
Requirements:
Educational & Experience Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field along with 10–12 years of progressive experience in Corporate Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related technical field.
Deep Technical Expertise: 5+ years in category management or procurement, with a focus on indirect or corporate services.
Proven Track Record: A history of developing and executing category strategies that deliver measurable cost savings and service improvements.
Negotiation & Supplier Management: Strong skills in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management (SRM).
Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with deep experience in spend analysis.
Stakeholder Partnership: Exceptional ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and influence at all levels of the organization.
Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) systems, such as Coupa.
