Senior Director, Business Development

What You Will Be Doing

As the Director of Business Development – Parking, you will define and lead ChargePoint’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy with parking owners, operators and PARCS providers (Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems) for the U.S and Canada. You are responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales quota.  You will build on existing relationships as well as identifying and growing new ones to achieve GTM and sales goals. You will work intimately with ChargePoint’s Channel team to implement scalable customer programs.

You can look forward to working with the sales, channel, marketing, product, engineering and policy teams to continuously improve product-market fit, enhance our customer experience and accelerate ChargePoint’s success in the parking vertical.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • You are an externally-focused business development and sales leader who excels in cross-functional coordination and program management
  • You are capable originating and closing revenue opportunities with enterprise-level accounts
  • You are comfortable and familiar with senior executives, product managers and parking industry stakeholders of all kinds
  • Work like market evangelization, business model creation, and meeting with senior executives and creating strategic rollout plans excites you
  • You have experience in the parking industry, renewable energy/infrastructure, EV charging or similar experience
  • You are comfortable working with ambiguity and relentlessly seek clarity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 5-10 years of outside sales experience required
  • Experience in technology or cloud services a plus
  • Travel required in the U.S. and Canada
  • Excellent social and presentation skills
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills, and be able to map out strong business plans for others to easily interpret and follow
  • Capacity to interact and communicate effectively with internal resources and executives

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $119,250 to $227,750. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
