The Job
We are looking for a hands-on Data Governance Manager to build and lead our Data Governance efforts. You will lead a small team of Data Stewards/Analysts (a mix of direct and dotted-line reports), enhance and update current Data Governance processes and standards, establish new Data Governance processes and standards, understand the company and company needs, build a prioritized roadmap, execute on that roadmap, and evolve the team and roadmap as the company evolves.
Data insights are a critical component of Omnidian’s value proposition, and having data that is accurate and consistent both in perception and reality is fundamental to our success. Our business is rapidly growing, and we need a strong leader who can build a strong Data Governance program alongside the company’s growth. This role sits within our Engineering department and reports directly to our Director of Data Management.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver Data Governance solutions that provide real value.Build and lead a data stewardship program across the organization, consisting of direct reports as well as cross-functional team members.Create and maintain a structure to track adherence to contractual and regulatory data privacy compliance.Develop a Data Governance roadmap that aligns with company goals and evolving needs.Act as an evangelist for Data Quality and Data Governance, raising awareness and improving data culture across the organization.Create data standards and business rules, and specifying which data must be shared organizationallyEnsure that legal and other compliance standards are followed Advocate for better use and management of data within the organizationCreate centralized training materials for Data Quality/Data Governance Communications, outreach and adoption for Data Governance standards and processesProject Management and Hands-On Work (33%)
