2022 is an exciting time as we are ready to take Arrival products from the prototype stage at our R&D facility in Banbury to production at our Van Microfactory in Charlotte, NC. We are looking for a Controls Maintenance Engineer to support the integration and buyoff for each of our next-generation automated cells. As part of the maintenance team, you will help to realize the implementation of the Microfactory, from installation to start of production, followed by maintaining and continuously optimizing thereafter.

What you'll be doing:
Work as an integral part of the maintenance team.Specialize in the Arrival Microfactory automation controls systems.Support with the development and integration of new automation, working closely with the Arrival industrialization team and system integrators.Carry out buy-off and snagging of electrical, mechanical, and control systems of new equipment.Respond to and fault finds on all technical breakdowns, returning the line to a running condition safely and efficiently.Analysis and problem solving of repetitive and major faults, identifying root causes and permanent solutions to maintain and improve technical availability.Management of software backups and upgrades.Analysis of equipment to identify potential cost savings and efficiency improvements.Provide specialist support and planning for project implementation activities.Identify and maintain spares for electrical and control systems.Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance activities as per the PPM.Build and maintain relationships with equipment suppliersTechnical training and development of team members, trainees or apprentices.Support daily tracking of KPIs for Maintenance Activities
What you'll need:
Programming/fault finding skills within Controls/Drives/PLC's/Automation/HMI's.Experience with Allen Bradley Software (advantageous).Experience with industrial robotics (KUKA advantageous).Formal engineering qualifications or Equivalent verifiable experienceStrong electrical background with the ability to read and update electrical prints, motor control circuits troubleshooting, 3 phase power distribution, I/O tracing, and troubleshootingExperience in technical equipment within an automated environment.Comfort working in a start-up environment with project management Excellent communication skills and willingness to work with and collaborate with all aspects of the business regularly
