About the company:

WeaveGrid works with utilities and electric vehicle (EV) owners to enable and accelerate the electrification of transportation.

Using machine learning, optimization, and predictive analytics, our software solution solves several EV-grid integration challenges for utilities in a systems-oriented manner; helps integrate renewable energy resources on the grid; and saves utility customers money on their bills.

Our vision is to drive the rapid decarbonization of the transportation and electric networks by intelligently connecting EVs to the grid.

About Us:

The future of transportation is electric, and our software solves the most critical emerging grid integration challenges to ensure that the impending energy transition is clean, equitable, and resilient. Our enterprise solutions help the grid absorb the coming electrification wave with ease. Utilizing modern, cloud-native platform architecture and robust systems optimization, WeaveGrid’s software is built from the ground up to tackle the most critical network challenges while meeting the utility industry's stringent regulatory, security, and reliability requirements.

About The Role:

The Chief of Staff at WeaveGrid plays a pivotal role in organizing and executing strategic initiatives, facilitating communications with internal and external stakeholders, and leading cross-functional business processes and planning. This position reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with functional leaders to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company goals.

The Chief of Staff position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be primarily onsite at WeaveGrid’s San Francisco office.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop presentations and speaking points for the CEO for internal and external audiences
  • Manage the CEO’s executive assistant - ensuring that the CEO’s schedule is well-managed and continuously optimized for productivity - while also helping manage various stakeholder expectations and smooth communication.
  • Act as the CEO's representative, addressing issues and ensuring effective communication from the CEO's office & executive team to the rest of the organization.
  • Run company-wide meetings such as weekly all-hands, quarterly town halls, annual team-on sites, and leadership offsites - create agendas and content and help facilitate these meetings.
  • Manage board relations, including preparation of board decks and ongoing investor communications in close partnership with the Head of Finance.
  • Take ownership of special projects the CEO and executive team assigns, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
  • Speak as an external ambassador for the company at events, panels, etc.
  • Special projects and other duties as designated by your manager or assigned designee.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of management consulting and/or operations, ideally in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Extensive experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis, project management, and executive presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s, MBA, or JD preferred.
  • Experience in the utility, energy, or mobility sectors is highly desirable—our CEO is a nerd, so you’d better be ready to become one, too!
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Experience with stakeholder management, especially running cross-functional projects.
  • Passion to work on one of the most important topics in the energy transition.
