What You Will Be Doing

The Business Intelligence and Automation Manager will plan and manage the business intelligence, analytics, and select automation capabilities for the CX / Services organization in close coordination with ChargePoint BI and IT teams. The Services Business Intelligence and Automation team will ensure technical capabilities for data infrastructure are in place, identify data sources, and build & automate data pipelines serving the Services organization's BI, data science, and automation needs. The BI & Automation Manager will own the BI and automation roadmap by driving the requirements gathering, prioritization, development, and ongoing evolution of reporting, analytics, and select automation for Services by bringing together technical expertise, services and CX business insights, and leadership skills to achieve results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Gather and prioritize requirements for Services’ business intelligence and analytics across Services and ChargePoint.
Design a data architecture based on the organizational needs, and deliver data infrastructure and applications to build new capabilities.
Manage the development and maintenance of various applications and utilize various tools to enable effective development, education, and direction of the organization on design recommendations.
Ensure that applications meet business requirements, and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, identify and resolve systems issues.
Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
Review and analyze existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
Plan the resources needed to complete competing priorities within the provided timeframe.

Deployment & Execution:

Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
Collaborate with analysts, architects, and system owners in the selecting and/or testing of new software programs and applications.
Ensure that any new system integration into business systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
Lead a team of members to conduct business analysis, collect business requirements, and translate them into BI Solutions leveraging best practices. Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Liaise with software suppliers and internal stakeholders to address issues with current infrastructure and operate in conjunction with new applications with existing systems software.

Operational Management

Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations.
Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
Build and maintain data pipeline, and data warehouse solutions to drive business metrics and process automation
Develop relationships with internal business functions and teams
Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users and team members

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint – Experience and Skills

10+ years of experience in data architecture and/or business intelligence roles
BS or MS degree in data science, computer science or related degree required
Clearly summarize data and trends, and to create reports and presentations for all levels of internal audiences.
Interact and partner with cross functional teams that include services, operations, engineering, sales, marketing, finance and IT.
Strategic thinker who has tactical experience that can transition quickly between as needed.
Recruit, manage and develop/mentor organization to stay highly engaged and become world class while driving results today.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure, to accomplish tasks on time and with high quality results.
Excellent interpersonal communication and able to build collaborative team environments.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time
Developed and managed data warehouse solutions including infrastructure, and ETL processes
Developed reporting and/or analytics solutions via a portal, dashboard, or BI platforms
Developed Business Performance and Quality tools/reports to drive correct actions in a timely fashion as well as drive corrective actions back to services, operations, engineering and sales.
Influenced design decisions that affect the performance of a new unreleased product to improve total cost of ownership (reduce DOA, increase MTBF, and MTTR) for the products.

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $69,750 to $178,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
