Position Overview:
The Brand Creative and Content Director will have end-to-end responsibility for the content creation, execution and optimization for the Nature’s Fynd brand.  They will oversee design and optimize our creative content across social and digital channels for all owned and earned media. 

The individual in this high-visibility and high impact position will be a leader who can develop and execute our content across owned and earned channels. They will be a significant contributor to building the Nature’s Fynd website and current social channels as well as new channels and spaces as we grow.  In addition to overseeing the creative and strategic direction for content, this individual will directly manage our current content team of Creative Content Manager, Designer, Content Producer, Content Strategist and Project Manager.  This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer of Nature’s Fynd as part of the Marketing and Sales organization.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Manage the content production team (5) and lead creative development of all brand content and assets for social, digital and media platforms. 
  •  Own strategy for building in-house creative team staffing as needs of the business evolve. Recommend the appropriate internal and external resources needed to ensure the best creative content.
  •  Establish clear guardrails for brand assets across all touchpoints and oversee development of creative with internal and external partners ensuring that all creative is on brand.
  •  Liaison and provide creative guidance on brand activations, digital ads, production/design and consumer experiential events such as industry conferences and trade shows.
  •  Support integrated marketing; work collaboratively with various touch points (product, sales, shopper, social, influencer, digital, content production, design, etc.) to bring to life cohesive strategy and go-to-market integrated content plans for all product launches.
  • Oversee creative and art direction on internal content development needs for employee engagement and Board meetings including brand photography and videography
  • Provide creative guidance on international content including look, tone, feel and messaging to ensure that there is cohesiveness across markets.
  • Provide creative guidance on retail, in-market brand activations, production/design and consumer engagement events.
  • Oversee brand integrated communication development, working collaboratively with copywriting and regulatory/PD teams on integrated consumer-facing messaging for new product launches (on packaging, DTC, retailer dot com, social and digital advertising)
  • Partner closely with our external agency partners and freelance creative talent to ensure consistently excellent creative product delivery and execution. 
  • Oversee and execute brand partnerships with external partners including celebrities and other micro and macro influencers.
  • Train, mentor and coach current Content Team providing ongoing feedback, development plans and opportunities for growth.
  • Candidate Profile / Experience Base:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in content creation and/or content strategy including working with and ideally overseeing or managing creative teams.
  • Agency experience: Account management, Creative or Strategic Planning experience with a top notch creative or activation agency. Experienced with creative briefing process to ensure strong creative work. Strong creative intuition with an ability to tell stories and create engagement.
  • Brand experience: Marketing experience at consumer-packed goods or retail brands with a strong business orientation and understanding of growth drivers is a plus. At minimum, a basic level of business orientation and understanding is required. 
  • Content creation:  Experience developing brand creative content and/or managing content and creative teams to deliver outstanding creative campaigns.
  • Passion for food with some Food/beverage experience is preferred. Start-up experience is a plus especially early stage when building a new brand.
  • Experience in driving successful execution of content and executions for new product launches, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Ability to lead breakthrough communication campaigns with strong aptitude and savviness in the owned and earned media landscape.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills. 
  • Track record of success in leading cross-functional teams of internal and external partners.
